Port Vale Football Club was founded in 1876, which makes us one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

The club was one of the founder members of the English League Division Two, the second tier of the world's first Football League, and has had a fascinating footballing existence ever since.

Perhaps the most momentous events in the club's history occurred in 2003 when the club was taken over by its own supporters.

Since then, the guiding principle of the club's directors and staff has been that Port Vale will play a very active and constructive role in our local area and community.

One tangible result of this drive is the intention to make available to the community the best multi-purpose social venue in North Staffordshire.
